The Cincinnati Reds’ 3-21 start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season is approaching historically bad.
Wednesday’s 18-4 loss to the Brewers in Milwaukee left the Reds with the worst 24-game start in franchise history and the worst 24-game start to a season in MLBÂ since the 2003 Detroit Tigers also started 3-21.
The 1988 Baltimore Orioles had the worst 24-game start in MLB’s Modern Era (since 1900) at 1-23.
The ’03 Tigers are the only other Modern Era team to start the season with three wins through 24 games. (The 1907 Brooklyn Superbas dropped to 3-20-1 in their 24th game, because their eighth game of the season ended in a tie.)
