hurricane IkeI decided I better give everyone a status of what I know for hurricane damage. My sister Judy lives in Kentucky – and she might as well can Cincinnati since she is just across the river from there.  She and her husband had winds of 75 MPH. That is unheard of for their area. They had no power for a couple of days and lost all the food in their freezer. No damage to their condo thank goodness. My nephew Bruce and family had power issues and lost shingles from their roof and some other relatively minor damage. Really not to bad all in all.

I checked with Margaret and Gary in Houston and they also were without power for several days. Margaret said Galveston was sad. So much damage. They lost an awning and food but not too bad as hurricanes. She was very upbeat as always – said they had big neighborhood BARBQ with all the stuff that would have gone bad and met all their neighbors. Funny how that is how we all used to live when there was no ac or TV,

We all fared fine here in Tallahassee– no flooding or high water or power outages like Fay.

Share any news of others in the family.
Love,
Fran
